**Case Study: Advanced Imaging Evaluation for a Child with a Urinary Tract Infection (UTI)**

When a child experiences a persistent fever combined with signs of inflammation in a urine test, a Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) or pyelonephritis (kidney infection) is highly suspected. • Upon admission, an ultrasound revealed a temporary dilation in the right kidney.
• Signs of inflammatory changes were also observed around the bladder.
• To pinpoint the exact underlying cause, comprehensive imaging-based diagnostic tests were performed.   Detailed Assessment Results
• A temporary delay in urine drainage from the right kidney was identified.
• Fortunately, no vesicoureteral reflux (backward flow of urine from the bladder to the kidney) was observed. Based on these findings, we concluded that the changes in the kidney were likely caused by temporary post-inflammatory swelling or a functional drainage delay, rather than structural reflux.   Treatment & Recovery
• Administered IV fluids and targeted antibiotic therapy during hospitalization.
